The Toad in the Hole and Spring into Soul present, as part of Worthing Black History Month celebrations: Spoken Word artist SCRUFFMOUTH with live percussion from Drumheads Live and two sets from Reggae Mbira band PAPPA LINOS & NHASITAFARI. Nhasitafara is a Reggae band with a unique instrument leading the mix. Ranging from Roots to Dancehall, to originals and covers.
Kevan "Scruffmouth" Cameron is a Canadian-Jamaican creator and spoken word artist. Black Dot Roots and Culture Collective encompasses Dub poetics and afroindigenous knowledge in creative, festive and educational endeavours. SCRUFFMOUTH will be live and direct for Worthing Black History Month for the first time at the Toad in the Hole and accompanied by Sean Quinn's Drumheads Live.
Papa Linos & Nhasitafara make a triumphant return to the Toad. Local to Brighton, Linos has been leading bands for decades. The Mbira instrument of Zimbabwe is always at the heart of his music.
